The application was exposed as an internet solution for their end customers. We developed 7 mobile application to track their store room activities to replace their current outdated MRO application.

Business challenge

  • The store user should be able to download a set of items from an inventory.
  • Once the items are downloaded to the mobile device, the items are locked in the database, so that same set of items are not downloaded by other users / devices.
  • Invoke procedures in IBM MobileFirst through JSON calls.
  • Offline Sync in app when the connection to IBM service is not available. The item count will be temporarily stored as JSON in mobile and will be synced back to the database whenever the connection to the IBM service is restored.
  • Store the data in local storage as JSON structure using IBM JSON Store.
  • Search for items in inventory using barcode scanned.

How Avasoft helped?

  • Effective usage of the persistent storage in client side with IBM JSON store.

  • Handle the custom hardware scanner to read item barcode and process search requests.
  • Accessed device camera to read the barcode as an image..
  • UAT and PROD deployment of web services and client applications.
  • Maintain the versions for each deployment.
