High number of individual .Net web components resulting in code duplication.

  • The client was using the application developed in ASP.NET 1.1 to manage their MRO activities. The application was exposed as internet solution for their end customers.
  • The application had a high number of individual .Net web components resulting in code duplication, high maintenance and disorderly code in the UI, .Net and Stored procedures.

AVASOFT was asked to help migrate the existing site to Telerik Components, ASP.NET4.0, SQL Server 2012R2, and SharePoint Server 2013 stack. Integrate SharePoint 2013 Enterprise search into their existing site.

  • Telerik components enables consistent look and feel throughout the website. Separate CSS files were created and all the style class were moved to the CSS file by this unwanted inline styles were removed from the pages and common CSS file was referred in the master page. Single CSS file is modified to make any changes throughout the application.
  • All common components are grouped and added to separate libraries to enable maximum reusability.
