Migration of data from SAP to Microsoft SharePoint 2014
- Cardone has their sales, purchase, and finance inventory data stored in to the AS400 midrange system.
- The business team required analytics for reporting and decision purpose without altering their existing set-up.
- IT team decided to use a standalone Microsoft SQL Server to accomplish the MSBI (Microsoft Business Intelligence) without disturbing the existing EDW.
- The data required for analytics and report building has to be made available in SQL Server for building SSIS, SSAS and SSRS.
- A batch program has to be created that pulls the previous day updates from SAP to SQL Server.

Built batch jobs (SSIS) to move data from existing database to Microsoft SQL Server with the help of MSBI Process.
- Created Multi-Dimensional Cubes (MDX) using SSAS and avoiding scripts for these in the future.
- Worked with Business teams to analyze existing report and build new reports. SSRS was used that aligned with business objectives, including reducing and optimizing the existing reports.
- Monitored jobs and worked with client teams that needed this details.
- Tested reports for design, layout and data which needs to be in line BO reports.
- Deployed all above mentioned as packages in the client environment and used SharePoint as the user front end for this.
