- Migrating Slack channels and chats from Slack workspace to Office 365 MS Teams
- The client was using the Slack standard plan and wanted everything to be migrated to Teams.
- The client wanted to remove unnecessary channels and chats.

- We used our migration tool – AVAMIGRATRON, to take the inventory assessment of Slack workspace channels by connecting multiple service accounts.
- Based on the inventory assessment, the client was able to remove the unnecessary channels and chats.
- We then proceeded with the Slack channel mapping with the MS Teams channel mapping and mapped Slack direct chat with MS Teams 1:1 chat.
- The initial and incremental migration was done based on the user mapping.
- The migrated messages were then posted on behalf of the mapped source and target users.
- Since there was no support to migrate the attachments as such, we framed HTML structure to move the message as an attachment in Teams.
Business gains
- Migrated multiple attachments that were present in a single message and displayed the attachment link along with the migrated messages on MS Teams channels and 1:1/ 1: many chats.
- Overcame MS Teams throttle limitations and members sync-up delay between MS Teams and its unified group.
